Build greater comfort in seeking help for themselves and others
Be more aware of where to look and how to ask for resources

Mental Health Works (MHW) is a national social enterprise of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), with the head office at CMHA Ontario Division. We provide workplace mental health training to organizations nationwide.
MHW began in 2001 as a partnership research project. In 2004 Mental Health Works began selling products and services to the business community and the response from our clients and the media has been overwhelmingly positive.
Today the recognition and willingness to address issues related to workplace mental health is greater than ever. However, there is much more to be done. Mental Health Works is dedicated to advancing the field of workplace mental health through skills enhancement training, awareness education, and stigma reduction efforts.
 Mental Health Works- Essentials
This presentation features the first module of our Core workshop as a condensed standalone presentation. It is our most basic introduction to workplace mental health. It provides a high-level introduction to Mental Health Works, mental health awareness, responding to some common issues, and psychological health and safety.
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
Consider mental health as embedded within overall health.
Understand mental health and common mental health problems in terms of balance.
Understand the impact of stigmatizing language and beliefs, their own and that of others.

Mental Health Works - In Focus

This workshop combines module one of the core workshop (Mental Health at Work) with elements of both module two (Mood & Depression) and module three (Stress & Anxiety). The result is a balanced half-day overview of workplace mental health. The first half introduces participants to the important overarching ideas and concepts, followed by a closer examination of two common mental health problems in the second half.
By the end of this session, participants will:
See the important role of mental health in maintaining a healthy and safe workplace.
